Home Solutions Retail (India) Limited, a company of Future Group, expects to garner a sales turnover of around Rs 1,000 crore from its electronic and consumer durables retailing business by 2007-08. |
Briefing mediapersons after inaugurating the company's electronic and consumer durables store 'E-Zone' and home furniture store 'Connection i' in Hyderabad on Friday, Manoj Kumar, head (consumer durable and electronics), Home Solutions Retail, said, "We are planning to open 15 more E-Zone stores across the country in the next two to three months, and further scale up the number to 25-30 stores, including 5 to 6 in Chennai, by June 2007. Besides, we intend to introduce a few more electronic and consumer durable products. Owing to this, we expect our turnover to touch the Rs 1,000-crore mark by 2007-08." |
Each of the new stores will be spread over 8,000-15,000 sq.ft and will entail an investment of around Rs 4,000 per sqft, he added. |
The company's E-Zone in Hyderabad is its sixth store in the country, with the other five being in Indore, Bangalore and Mumbai. It is currently in the process of opening three to four more stores in the city in a couple of months. |
The E-Zone store in Hyderabad, spread across 10,500 sqft, has three dedicated zones "� the liberation zone, experience zone and home zone "� and offers personal products like computers and lap tops, entertainment products like DVD players, home theatre and stereo systems and electronic goods, including refrigerators, air-conditioners and microwave ovens. |
The company is also planning to open one more Connection i store in Hyderabad in the next three to six months, and take its total number of stores across the country to 14 by June 2007. |
