Honda aiming to maintain growth at 20%

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) aimed to maintain its 20 per cent growth rate in 2010-11, a company official said today.

"We have been growing at the rate of 18-20 per cent every year and this year too we are expecting the same," HMSI Vice- President, Operating-Head (Manufacturing), V Sridhar told reporters at the launch of 110cc variant CB Twister here.

The company, which sold 10.7 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters last year, would take it to 12.5 lakh units this year, he said.

For 2011-12, the company has projected to sell 15.5 lakh units.

Newer versions of auto-scooter Dio and 125 cc motorcycle CBF Stunner were also introduced on the occasion.

The base version of 110cc CB Twister is priced at Rs 43,650 (ex-showroom Chennai) for a self-drum alloy, while the top end model is priced at Rs 49,650 (ex-showroom Chennai). The new Dio is priced at Rs 38,469 (ex-showroom Chennai), while the refurbished CBF Stunner Rs 52,300 (Ex-showroom Chennai).
