Current generation Honda City sold in India belongs to third generation and remains unaffected not requiring any part replacement

Swaraj Baggonkar Mumbai
Honda Cars India today announced it would carry out preventive replacement of the power-window switch on the second-generation City in India.

The company will recall 42,672 units of the previous Honda City, manufactured in 2007-08, to carry out the replacement. The power-window switch may malfunction in case water or any other liquid enters the driver-side window, the company said.

New models OK
The third-generation Honda City models do not require any part replacement, it added.

The replacement would be carried out free at Honda Car’s dealerships across India, and the owners will be contacted individually in a phased manner, the company said in a release.
