With the launch of its new bike CB Twister in
Punjab today, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Private Limited (HMSI), two-wheeler subsidiary of the Honda Motor Company, is eying to achieve the figure of Rs 4,000 crore in company turnover.
“Last year our turnover was Rs 3500 crore and this year with the launch of new vehicles, it is targeted to achieve the turnover of Rs 4000 crore in the current fiscal”, Naresh Kumar Rattan, Operation head – Sales & Marketing told reporters of the occasion of launching the new model of the bike.
Regarding the expansion plan of the company, Rattan revealed that the company has pumped in additional capital of Rs 200 crore to increase the production capacity from 12 lakh vehicles to 15 lakh vehicles in the current year.
It has been decided to strengthen the dealer network and for the purpose at least 100 dealers would be added every year in the country, He added.
Regarding new launch of “CB Twister” Rattan claimed living up to the style aspirations of Indian two-wheeler customers, the 110cc bike offered style, unmatched performance and good mileage.
