Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India, the country's largest scooter manufacturer, today reported a 12.84 per cent increase in its total sales at 84,476 units in August, against 74,863 units in the same month last year.
Motorcycles sales rose by 32.87 per cent to 30,454 units in the month, compared to 22,920 units in the corresponding month in 2007, HMSI said in a statement.
The company reported a 4 per cent increase in scooter sales at 54,022 units in August, compared to 51,943 units in the year-ago period.
