Honeywell to set up 5.4-acre campus in Bangalore

To invest around Rs 1,400 crore in new campus

Honeywell Automation India Ltd plans to set up a 5.4 acre campus in Bangalore with an estimated investment of around Rs 1,400 crore, S R Patil, minister for information technology, biotechnology and science & technology, Karnataka, said here on Tuesday.

The company has already invested around Rs 1,600 crore in Bangalore and has over 5,000 employees at its existing facility here. "Honeywell's investment proposal will be placed before the State High Level committee for clearance shortly," Patil said.

Honeywell Automation, a Fortune 100 company, has presence in 70 countries and offers products and services around aerospace, defence, automation, control systems, performance materials and transportation systems. The company started its India operations in 1994 and has its domestic headquarters here.

 

Several of the company's products are developed in Bangalore, and services are offered from the city, Patil said.
