Restaurants and food outlets are springing up in the land of dhabas. Chandigarh-based Hot Millions group is planning to create a chain of premium restaurants under brand "The AB's" in the region over the next 12 months.

Revealing the expansion plan of Hot Millions, Director Aman Bir Singh said a premium Indian cuisine restaurant, The AB's, and a night club had been launched in Chandigarh and the plan is to take The AB's to Jalandhar, Amritsar, Patiala and Ludhiana.

With the new restaurant, the group is expecting 20 per cent growth in turnover from the AB's in Chandigarh alone. Once the restaurant chain is established in the other cities, the group is expecting to double its turnover by end of the next financial year.

"In Punjab since we have received a very good response, we will open two restaurants under the brand name Hot Millions and The AB's," Singh added.

"For Patiala, the group plans to open a Hot Millions outlet keeping in mind student customers. In Amritsar, another The AB's is being proposed and for Jalandhar one Hot Millions and one The AB's are in the pipeline.

We are running nine restaurants, excluding The AB's, in Chandigarh. We want to increase it to 16 by the end of the next financial year. We have been registering 20 per cent growth in turnover. We are expecting that with all these expansions, we would be able to double our turnover," Singh said.

Asked about the group's plans for Himachal Pradesh, he said, "We have one Hot Millions at Dharampur but we do not have any plan to open a restaurant in HP in the near future, as business there is seasonal."
