Hotel Leela plans overseas foray

The board of directors of Hotel Leelaventure will meet on September 2, 2006 to consider a proposal for signing management contracts to manage hotels at Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Colombo (Sri Lanka) and Jaipur.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, the meeting will also consider a proposal for setting up a subsidiary company or direct investment in an overseas corporation.

The meeting will also consider a proposal to develop an international golf course, golf academy, driving range and club houses in Goa, and acquire necessary land (about 250 acres) from the government of Goa, the release added.
