Hotel Leelaventure Q2 net loss widens to Rs 135 crore

Net sales rose to Rs 154 crore, up 16%

Hotel Leelaventure today reported its net loss widened to Rs 135.18 crore in the second quarter ended September 30 on account of higher finance costs and expenses.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 92.49 crore a year earlier, Hotel Leelaventure said in a filing to the BSE.

Net sales rose to Rs 154.13 crore, up 16.29% from Rs 132.53 crore a year ago, it said.

Finance costs rose to Rs 127.43 crore from Rs 75.03 crore while expenses climbed to Rs 188.57 crore as against Rs 154 crore previously.

Hotel Leelaventure shares fell 1% to Rs 14.80 at the close on the BSE.
