Housing.co.in, a Mumbai-based real estate search portal, is in the process of entering the Hyderabad property rental and resale services market by the second week of May, according to co-founder and marketing head, Advitiya Sharma.
“Looking at the popularity and significant response from the users in Mumbai, we have decided to expand our operations to other cities in the country. Based on an online poll that we have conducted on Facebook, we have zeroed in on Hyderabad to expand next,” he said.
The almost one-year-old company ran a Facebook poll, asking where the users would like to have its services next. The company has received 50,000 votes and Hyderabad emerged as a clear winner with over 18,000 votes, he added.

Housing.co.in, which had raised a second round of funding from former Network18 CEO, Haresh Chawla, in March this year, currently has over 1,500 listings on its portal. Besides a mobile website, the company has come up with Android and iOS apps that give users the power to hunt for a house on the go.
“We are looking at around 300 listings from Hyderabad during the pre-launch stage. Gurgaon and Pune are on our horizon and we will be launching our services there in due course,” Sharma said.
