HP eyes govt, PSUs for high-end servers

Hewlett-Packard (HP) today launched a NonStop server system as it sees tremendous market opportunity in India for high-end servers in the government and public sectors.

"The government and public sectors are investing in IT infrastructure to meet their long-term needs. Non-stop servers can serve as a critical building block for these projects," Pallab Talukdar, director (marketing & alliances) of HP India, said.

Some of HP's key NonStop server customers include SBI, BSE and the ministry of home affairs, company officials said.
