HPCL Q2 net at Rs 1,222cr

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation(HPCL) today reported a  net profit of Rs 1,221.98 crore for the second quarter ended September 2006 as against a net loss of Rs 22.14 crore in Q2FY06.

According to the release issued by the company to the BSE, total income grew  45.18% to Rs 24,560 crore as against Rs 16,916.85 crore in Q2FY06.
