HPCL swings to Rs 2,090 cr net profit in Sept qtr

Hindustan Petroleum Corp, a state-run refiner and oil marketing firm, reported a net profit of Rs 2,090 crore for the quarter ending September 30, 2010. For the same period a year earlier, the company saw a loss of Rs 140 crore.

HPCL saw a 25 per cent surge in its net sales at Rs 30,710 crore versus Rs 24,460 crore for the same period a year ago.
