Rajiv Gandhi International Airport has deferred the collection of revised user development fee (UDF) from all outbound passengers to November 8, saying it had to make some arrangements at the airport in this regard.
GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd, the developer and operator of the airport at Shamshabad, will now collect Rs 475 from domestic outbound travellers and Rs 1,875 from international outbound travellers as UDF.
The airport had received clearance from the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority to increase the UDF by Rs 100 per domestic passenger and Rs 875 from international passengers, effective November 1.
The differential UDF will be collected before issue of boarding pass from those passengers who have not been charged the additional UDF as a part of the ticket issued to them by airlines/agents from November 8, said a press release.
Earlier, it collected Rs 375 from a domestic passenger and Rs 1,000 from international ones (inclusive of service tax). The UDF would be used for development, management, maintenance, operation and expansion of facilities at the airport, the release added.
