Hyd intl airport handles A-380

The world's largest air-craft, Airbus A-380, made a successful landing at the Rajiv Gandhi Internation-al Airport in Hyderabad in the early hours of Sunday due to a technical snag in the aircraft. EK-385, A-380 aircraft flying from Bangkok to Dubai was diverted to Hyderabad, due to technical reasons. The A-380 landed at around 3.45 am with 481 people on board.

Emirates Airlines made alternate arrangements for passengers to reach their destination. This is for the third time that an Airbus A-380 landed at the Hyderabad airport within a span of three years with the first being a ferry flight in October 2008, and the second in June 2011, a commercial aircraft, EK-413 flying from Sydney to Dubai landed for a medical emergency and now EK 385, according to a press release.
