Hyderabad metro rail project awarded to Nava Bharat consortium

The government of Andhra Pradesh has awarded the Hyderabad Metro Rail (MRTS) project to Nava Bharat consortium.

The consortium comprising of Nava Bharat Ventures Ltd, Maytas Infrastructure Ltd, Italian-Thai development PLC and Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services Ltd (IL&FS) will undertake the development of the project on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis.
 
The metro rail project comprises of three lines- Miyapurto L B Nagar (30 kilometres), Jubilee Bus Station to Falaknuma (15 km) and Nagole to Shilparamam (26 km).

Nava Bharat ventures Ltd is a Hyderabad based infrastructure company active in power generation, ferroy alloys and sugar products.
