Hygiene Wear eyes Rs 19 cr turnover this fiscal

Hygiene Wear International Limited, an Indore-based manufacturer of baby diapers and nappy pads, is targeting a turnover of Rs 19 crore in the current fiscal in the domestic market as compared to the Rs 12-crore turnover achieved in 2004-05.
 
The company, which has its own manufacturing unit, has a tie up with US-based Braco Manufacturing Co. It manufactures a range of diapers and nappy pads under the brand name 'Koochees'. Hygiene occupies a 15 per cent market share in the country, and in north India the company enjoys a 27 per cent market share.
 
Speaking to Business Standard, Shishir Gupta, managing director of Hygiene Wear, said, "In south India, there has been a tremendous customer response to our products in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka markets. While Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam cities account for 25 per cent of sales in south India, Tamil Nadu market is slowly picking up."
 
Hygiene exports its products to the US, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, Cameroon, Seychelles, Algeria, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
 
Apart from its regular products, Hygiene Wear also markets 'adult diapers' product for diabetics, paralytic and other bed-ridden patients.
