Hyundai launches Santro LPG at Rs 3.54 lakh

Hyundai Motor India, India's second largest car manufacturer today launched it's second largest selling model, Santro fitted with an LPG fuel option in the markets.

The LPG version, christened as Santro Eco will come with a factory fitted LPG kit at a price of Rs 3.54 lakh for the GL version and Rs 3.73 lakhs for the GLS version. It will come with a 35 litre petrol tank and a 27.2 litre LPG tank.    

H S Lheem, managing director, Hyundai Motor India, said, "We have taken a conscious decision at Hyundai to make environment friendly car and we are furthering our initiative of launching alternate fuel vehicle which take this theme forward. We had earlier introduced the CNG Santro and today we are launching the LPG version of our flagship brand Santro. LPG is widely available and we feel that the LPG Santro will appeal to all our customers who are looking for economy, are environmentally conscious and the original fitment of the LPG kit will put to rest safety concerns which retro fitted LPG vehicles have. "
