The Income Tax Department has conducted search at various business locations of Hatsun Agro Products related to alleged false claims made by an individual in the company.
According to official sources, search was conducted by around 100 officials from the Income Tax department at residence and business locations of the individual, who plays a key role in the company, on alleged false claims of tax exemption for the past six years. Searches were conducted in atleast 11 places including in various parts of the State.
When contacted, R G Chandramogan, chairman and managing director of the company refused to offer a comment.
Hatsun Agro is into manufacturing and marketing of milk and milk based products.
