Indian Airlines (IA) and Air-India (AI) will not fly to the same destinations in the Gulf and South East Asian circuit.
The ministry of civil aviation has decided to instruct the two national carriers to avoid stepping on each others toes in the race to increase their revenue from the two lucrative sectors, according to civil aviation secretary K Roy Paul.
Roy Paul said today the ministry is finally taking up the issue of route rationalisation between Indian Airlines (IA) and Air-India (A-I) on the Gulf and South Asia sectors.
