IBM ties up with KEONICS

IBM today announced implementation of its mainframe hardware and software products at Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation (KEONICS).

The implementation includes a Mainframe server (z10) hosted at IBM datacenter, zOS software, Enterprise level storage device (DS8700) and transfer of skills to run technical training and Mainframe related courses at over 150 centres of KEONICS, IBM said in a statement.

"These trainings will enable students, budding professionals and IT officials for better employment opportunities in their career", it said.

Besides, KEONICS would also use this higher education programme to further mature as the technology services provider for the state, IBM said.

 

KEONICS is a Government of Karnataka-owned corporation that provides IT consultancy services, application development, setting up IT infrastructure, developing IT Parks and providing basic computer education and technical training services through its partners.
