The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) filed an application with the XIV additional chief metropolitan magistrate seeking permission to record the statements of all the accused in the Rs 7,800-crore Satyam scam. The court would hear the case on March 23.
The court on Wednesday reserved the orders on a petition filed by the CBI seeking extension of custody of Satyam founder B Ramalinga Raju and others by two more days for tomorrow. It would also hear the petition filed by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office seeking six days custody to question Raju and his aides tomorrow.
Raju brothers, former chief financial officer Srinivas Vadlamani and Price Waterhouse auditors S Gopalakrishnan and Srinivas Talluri were in CBI custody till March 17. The orders on the bail petition filed by all the five accused in the case would also be given tomorrow.
