ICDA elects IMFA MD Subhrakant Panda as president

Panda becomes the third Indian to head the organisation in its three-decade stint

International Chromium Development Association (ICDA), the Paris-based apex body of the chromium industry, has elected Subhrakant Panda as its president.

Panda is MD and CEO of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys (IMFA), a fully integrated producer of value added ferro chrome.

IMFA was one of the founding members of ICDA when it was formed in 1984 and Panda is the third Indian to head the organisation in its three decades existence.

With a membership base from 26 countries across 5 continents, ICDA is the authoritative voice of the industry dealing with chromium in all its forms. It is proactive on the impact of the industry's processes, products and services on people and the environment.
 

The association keeps a watch on regulatory issues and appraises its members with the advantages of new technological processes. It also provides risk and hazard assessment information, shares reviews on data by independent organizations and suggests consistent responses to health, safety and environment issues.
