ICICI Bank to organise SME Expo in Chennai

Leading private sector lender, ICICI Bank today said it will organise a three-day SME-Expo Logistics & Material Handling 2008 from Thursday in Chennai.        

The expo will provide a platform for small and medium enterprises to explore business opportunities and will have the participation of companies from several related segments such as commercial vehicles, Ancillary manufacturers and Freight Forwarders, the bank said in a press release here.        

"ICICI Bank has various initiatives in the SME space, which cater to the larger objective of building the SME community in India. SME Expo series is being launched as continuation of our committment to the industry," ICICI Bank's General Manager and Head of Vehicle Financing, N R Narayanan said in the release.        

 

The event is being conducted with the support of major industry associations in the logistics space such as Express Industry Council of India and Indian National Shipowners Association, the bank said.        

ICICI Bank has consolidated total assets of about $113 billion as on June 30, 2008.
