Sticking to plans of launching the Indian Cricket League (ICL) in mid-November, Subhash Chandra's Essel Group will roll out the detailed itinerary for its first Twenty20 tournament on October 19. According to sources, the company will also announce 8-10 sponsors and advertisers besides unveiling the team jerseys. ICL hopes to raise at least Rs 45-50 crore from advertisers. The exclusive feed of the tournament will be aired on Zee Sports. Essel-owned Dish TV will be the exclusive DTH platform for the series. The tournament is also likely to be telecast live in United Kingdom, United States, Canada and parts of Africa and Australia. These are the existing prominent overseas markets for Zee. |
