Idea net profit declines 18%

Aditya Birla Group company Idea Cellular on Monday posted an 18 per cent drop in consolidated net profit for the second quarter at Rs 180 crore, compared to Rs 220 crore posted in the same quarter last year. The company’s revenues, however, went up by 21.7 per cent to Rs 3,659 crore as compared to Rs 3,005 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
