Keeping up with the pace of subscriber growth and market demand, Idea Cellular Ltd has added a string of IdeaShops across Gujarat, taking the total number of the customer care centres to 150, the company said.

Besides ensuring payment of bills, the IdeaShops will also provide a host of services to the customers.

Within a span of seven months since it was launched, Idea has set up 150 shops across Gujarat. The IdeaShop network now covers 68 towns and cities of the state.

The new cities and towns that were covered recently include Himmatnagar, Chanasma, Mansa, Wadhwan and Navsari, the company said.

IdeaShops have also been set up at other smaller cities and towns of Ankleshwar, Bardoli, Bhavnagar, Billimora, Godhra, Gondal and Junagadh.

Besides, more IdeaShops have been set up at key markets of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Jamnagar and Surendranagar.

"Idea is committed to providing the best services to its customers. The basic philosophy towards setting up IdeaShops is to have an edge when it comes to providing best customer service. We have received great response from our customers and hence an additional 50 outlets were set up in the past few weeks at the rate of almost one new outlet a day," said Vikram Mehmi, chief executive officer, Idea Cellular.

IdeaShops are exclusive service showrooms which facilitate access to a range of service requirements like bill payments, feature information, feature activation and new pre-paid and post-paid connections.
