IDFC, BHEL and GSECL sign MoU for thermal power plant

IDFC Projects, wholly owned subsidiary of Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC), signed two MoUs with Gujarat State Energy Company (GSECL) and Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) to establish, a 1600 Mw thermal power plant at Sarkhadi based on supercritical technology.

GSECL, BHEL and IDFC Projects is set to build, own and operate a 3,200 Mw thermal power plant in two stages of 1,600 Mw each. GSECL and BHEL will hold 26 per cent each, while IDFC Projects and associates will hold the remaining part.

Similarly, another MoU was signed with Gujarat government to develop a 10 Mw solar power project.
