IDLconsult bags Rs 110cr order from Singareni

IDLconsult, the mining and infrastructure division of Hyderabad-based Gulf Oil Corporation Limited (GOCL), has bagged a mining contract worth Rs 110 crore from Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), according to a press release issued here today.
 
The project is to be executed over a period of 24 months at Manuguru Open Cast (OC 2) mine in Khammam district.
 
Under the contract, IDLconsult will undertake works for drilling, blasting, excavation, hauling and dump-yard management. The company possesses the skills for controlled blasting, tunneling and shaft sinking in the infrastructure sector, the press release added.
 
The state government holds 51 per cent equity in SCCL while the Government of India holds the remaining stake.
 
IDLconsult had executed two major coal mining contracts in SCCL worth about Rs 90 crore in the past. Its last project at Koyagudem was adjudged the 'Best Mine' among all coal mines in the Singareni Collieries by the Directorate General of Mine Safety, the press release said.
 
Subhas Pramanik, managing director, Gulf Oil Corporation, said, "We will continue to maintain the same standards of excellence in our performance and contribute to the economic growth in the mining industry. Our mining and infrastructure division has doubled its service income in 2005-06 to Rs 72 crore. We now have plans to double it again in 2006-07."
