iGATE Patni, a provider of business outcomes-based solutions, announced on Tuesday it had extended its multi-year, multimillion-dollar contract with The Mosaic Company.
As a part of the global service desk support engagement, iGATE Patni will provide multilingual support in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Mandarin through its global delivery centres. It will leverage its delivery centre at Pensacola in Florida to deliver English language support to Mosaic worldwide users. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
In line with the joint initiative of iGATE Patni and Mosaic, the engagement is expected to generate additional jobs in the Pensacola centre, which currently employs more than 200 people.

The Mosaic Company is one of the world’s leading producers and marketers of concentrated phosphate and potash crop nutrients, with 7,700 people worldwide, distribution facilities in 10 countries and servicing customers in 30 countries.
Shares in Patni Computer Systems closed 5.20 per cent higher at Rs 348.8 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
