iGATE research arm to hike headcount

iGATE Clinical Research International (iGATE CRI), the clinical research arm of the $300-million iGATE Corp, US, plans to double its scientific and clinical investigators team in India.
 
The company will double its workforce to 120 by this year and will invest around Rs 10 crore for the expansion of laboratory facilities and related infrastructure in Mumbai.
 
iGATE's expansion signifies the growing potential of India as a preferred location for global clinical studies especially for multinational drug companies.
 
Vasudeo Ginde, MD, iGATE CRI, said the current investment is part of an ongoing business expansion plan of the group.
