IIML, FMC plan meet on commodity futures |

The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIML) in collaboration with the Forward Market Commission, the ministry of consumer affairs, food and public distribution is organising a two-day training seminar on commodity futures market. A large number of state agriculture marketing boards, secretary and director of department of agriculture and other policymakers have confirmed participation, an IIML release said. These include Punjab, UP, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Chatisgarh, Orissa, Tripura, and Assam. Experts from NCDEX, MCX and IIML faculty members will explain commodity market operations and market dynamics, future market instruments and trading system in futures market, and various price risk management strategies to all policymakers who allocate capital according to the sector and will empower them to take decisions based on futures speculation. This in turn will provide them the means of achieving greater diversification and higher over all returns. "India |
