IKEA, the world’s largest home furnishing retailer, met its suppliers, potential customers, government officials and others as part of its recently held workshop "IKEA meets Mumbai".

The day was spent in understanding the needs of people in Mumbai, knowing ways to stimulate the home furnishing market, driving the sustainability agenda in the state and becoming a valuable partner of the community, the retailer said in a release.

"These inputs will enable IKEA to position itself as a unique, trusted and meaningful brand in Maharashtra," the company said in a statement.
