IMFA reports record ferro alloys export

IMFA Group, India's largest ferro alloys producing group comprising Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA) and Indian Charge Chrome Ltd (ICCL), has registered a record performance in 2004-05 with turnover crossing Rs 600 crore and ferro chrome output and exports reaching new highs.
 
IMFA Group's ferro chrome output for the financial year ending March 31, 2005, was 105,211 tonnes, up 2.6 per cent over the previous year. Chrome ore output was at 252,189 tonne, up 38.16 per cent.
 
Ferro chrome exports registered an all time high of 77,746 tonnes (36.84 per cent increase) garnering $ 56.917 million.
 
Ferro silicon production at IMFA Therubali was 36,455 tonne (up 1.36 per cent ) while the captive power plant at ICCL Choudwar generated 825.64 million units (up 2.18 per cent increase), averaging 94 per cent PLF.
 
Subhrakant Panda, joint managing director, said :"Fiscal 2004-05 has been a record year."
