Hospitality firm Impresario today said it plans to scale up the presence of its retail cafe chain 'Mocha' by adding six more outlets this year, as it looks at tapping the Tier-II markets and small cities.

"We will add at least six more cafes of Mocha by December and our target is to venture into Tier-II cities like Ludhiana and also the North Eastern states," Impresario Entertainment and Hospitality Pvt Ltd Brand Manager Deepali Gupta told PTI.

She said the company is looking at tapping the upwardly mobile urban consumers in small cities who are on the loom out for brands in the estimated Rs 700 crore Indian organised cafe retail market.

Impresario currently operates 20 Mocha outlets in major metros including Delhi NCR, Bangalore and Mumbai.

"The demand for hang-out zones, on which we style our Mocha cafes, is growing among the young consumers and professionals across the country. Besides Tier II cities, we will also open outlets in Kolkata and Ahmedabad this year," Gupta said.

The new outlets would be a mix of company-owned and franchise operated, she said, adding that the company is also giving a new touch to its menu by brining in new beverages and dishes with Mexican, Italian and Moroccan flavours.

Besides the Mocha chain, Impresario also operates another 15-odd restaurants of other brands including Smoke House Grill, Salf Water Cafe and Del Italia.
