India Cements Q3 net at Rs 127cr

India Cements today reported a net profit of Rs 127.05 crore and total income of Rs 857.56 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, net profit and total income during the quarter ended December 31, 2006 stood at Rs Rs 79.78 crore and Rs 543.92 crore, respectively.

"The accounts for the current quarter have been prepared after taking into account the transactions of erstwhile Visaka Cement Industry (VCIL), and are therefore not comparable with the corresponding figures of previous periods that do not include transactions of VCIL," the release added.
