India Infoline appoints heads of asset management business

India Infoline has hired Deepesh Pandey, ex-deputy chief investment officer of Mirae Asset, Singapore, and Manish Srivastava, ex-fund manager of Halbis (HSBC Global Asset Management), Singapore, as co-heads of the investment team for its asset management business, IIFIL Capital.

Deepesh Pandey has over 13 years of experience in managing India equity markets. He has worked with leading stock-broking and asset management companies such as ABN Amro, Citigroup, CLSA and SSKI.

With offices in Singapore, Dubai and New York, IIFL Capital aims to offer India-focusd equity products and fund management advisory services for offshore customers as well as domestic wealth management customers.

 

The company also said to stock exchanges that it plans to offer products for other Asian markets, after achieving critical mass in India.

India Infoline also said that the company has received regulatory approval for the India Infoline sponsored venture capital fund, India infoline Ventures Capital Fund. India Infoline will act as the investment manager to the fund, which will provide seed captial to entrepreneurs and business with innovative and scalable business ideas across a variety of sectors.
