India's only edu-tech Unicorn Byju's could double valuation to $2.2 bn

Digital learning startup Byju’s could more than double its valuation to $2.2-2.4 billion in an upcoming funding round, in which it could raise as much as $300 million, according to a report in the Mint newspaper on Monday.

Byju’s is the only Indian Unicorn (private company valued at over $1 billion) that claims it is already profitable, with over 120,000 primary and secondary school students subscribing to its paid service. The company says it can grow that number by 100 times to 12 million in the next five years.
