Two-wheeler maker India Yamaha Motor today said its sales have jumped by more than two-fold to 26,394 units in September.
It had sold 10,142 units in the same month last year.
"There has been very good customer response to Fazer, our new model which got introduced in July 2009. Our new introduction of R15 new colours has also been very well accepted," India Yamaha Motor Managing Director and CEO Yukimine Tsuji said in a statement.
He said the company is hopeful of getting good response to its Rs 20 lakh super-bike VMAX, which was launched in mid-September. The 1,679 cc VMAX is the third superbike from the company in the Indian market.
Products like the FZ16 and the FZS have also contributed to the growth, the company added.
