Indiabulls Fin Services post Rs 172 cr quarterly profit

Indiabulls Financial Services today reported a massive 142.79 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 172.67 crore, for the second quarter ended September 30.

It had a net profit of Rs 71.12 crore in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal, Indiabulls Financial Services said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company in a separate statement said that disbursals for the quarter was at Rs 4,787 crore.

"Focus on Home Loans has resulted in sustained asset growth and increase in composition of low-risk mortgage loans to 71 per cent of the assets," it added.

Shares of the company settled at 189.55 on the BSE, up 6.70 per cent from the previous close. During the day, the scrip surged 8.07 per cent to hit a year high of Rs 192.
