IndiaCan to add 50 centres in FY11

IndiaCan, a joint venture of Educomp Solutions and Pearson, today said it plans to add 50 more centres across the country, to take the total number of centres to 160 by the end of this fiscal.

"We have already set up 110 centres over the last 18 months and are planning on 50 more centres within this fiscal. The centres would run on a franchise-model," IndiaCan CEO Sharad Talwar told reporters here.

Educomp is an education company, while Pearson is a leading global education service provider.

The JV, which currently offers coaching for chartered accountancy, plans on adding more courses over the next few months.

 

"In a month or so, we will announce more courses focussed on preparation for competitive exams," he said.

Indiacan centres also offer courses in spoken English, accounts, sales, retail and IT.
