Indian Oil Corporation signed an MoU with Uttarakhand Government and SIDCUL for development of natural gas and renewable energy infrastructure in the state.
As per the MoU, IndianOil and Uttarakhand government will jointly prepare an action plan on expanding natural gas and renewable energy infrastructure in Uttarakhand, official sources said today.
The MoU was signed by Additional Chief Secretary Rakesh Sharma, SIDCUL Managing Director Shailesh Bagoli and Indian Oil Executive Director A K Marchanda in the presence of Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna here yesterday, they said.

The chief minister also expressed hope that the MoU will give the much-needed boost to socio-economic development in Uttarakhand.
Bahuguna also had a telephonic discussion with Indian Oil Chairman R S Butola on the possibilities of setting up an LPG bottling plant in the hill state.
Marchanda said the Indian Oil will identify clusters keeping in view public demand and the unique geographical situation of the state and work out a plan on how to supply LPG in the state through pipelines.
