Indica, Indigo sales drop in June

Tata Motors today reported a 9.4% increase in vehicles sales at 33,018 units for June 2005 as against 30,183 vehicles sold in the same month in the previous fiscal.

While domestic sales increased 5.1% to 29,981 unit as against 28,522 vehicles sold in June 2004, exports rose 83% to 3,037 units from 1,661 units, the company said in a release today.

Commercial vehicles sales rose 15.5% to 15,530 units from 13,445 units in June 2004. Passenger vehicle sales declined 4.1% to 14,451 units from 15,077 units in June 2004.

Indica sales fell 7.7% to 8,700 units from 9,426 units in June 2004. Indigo sales declined 8.9% to 2,937 units from 3,224 vehicles in June 2004.
