The Indo-American Hotel Management Academy, a 14-year-old hotel management institution, is gearing up to offer in-house five-star practical training in all departments of hotel management at its campus. |
As a step towards this, the institute is dedicating an entire floor of its academic building near Visakhapatnam to accommodate a five-star hotel prototype. |
Christened Poorna Mahal, the prototype will have 16 luxury deluxe double-bedrooms, a mini spa with jacuzzi, massage centre, a fine dining multi-cuisine restaurant, a resto-bar, a leisure and recreation centre and a home theatre to keep the students engaged. |
Briefing mediapersons on the academy's new initiative here on Thursday, V Pujari, chairman of Indo-American Institutions, said that the facility would be managed under the tutorship of the academy's faculty. |
"The in-house practical training will commence from the next academic year," he added. |
"The institution's campus has a 1,40,000 built-up area in 20 acres, and an additional 10 acres has been earmarked for constructing an international-standard hostel with single occupancy and swimming pool in the coming years," he said. |
