Indo German Training Centre in Mumbai has launched a course on middle level management skills. It is an 18 month full-time post-graduate business administration course to young graduates.

The course follows the dual system of higher education introduced by the prestigious Berufsakademie, Germany, involving alternating study in the classroom with on-the -job topic linked training in participating multinational companies, under which the trainees receive six months of practical training spread over six weeks each following 12 weeks of theoretical classes in each of the 4 phases at the centre, as per the institute.

The dual-system involves the integration of companies as an active partner into the system of imparting higher education, leading to specially qualified managers, who have hands-on experience of working in the real world of business and industry, said an official of the institute.

Some of the member companies who have actively participated in providing practical training are Aventis Crop Science (India) Ltd., Bayer (India) Ltd., Clariant Colour-Chem Ltd., German Remedies Ltd., KSB Pumps Ltd., Daimler Chrysler India Pvt.
