Indo Rama Textiles' net up to Rs 3.35 cr

Indo Rama Textiles reported increase of 5.35 per cent in its net profit to Rs 3.35 crore for the third quarter ended December 2005 as compared with Rs 3.18 crore recorded in the year-ago period.

However, gross sales for the quarter declined by 11.37 per cent to stand at Rs 96.35 crore as against Rs 108.72 crore last year, the company said in a statement. The company's net profit rose as the interest charges for the quarter fell to Rs 44 lakh from Rs 1.6 crore, it said.

Marico net up 24% to Rs 21.90 cr

FMCG company Marico Industries has posted 24 per cent increase in its net profit for the third quarter ended December 2005 at Rs 21.9 crore as compared with Rs 17.65 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.

Revenues during the reporting quarter increased 16.92 per cent to Rs 304 crore as compared with Rs 260 crore, the company said in a release.

SPEL net up 152% to Rs 69.7 lakh

SPEL Semiconductor has reported growth of 152 per cent in its net profit to Rs 69.7 lakh for the quarter ended December 2005 against Rs 27.7 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Sales was higher by 40 per cent at Rs 11.31 crore compared with Rs 8.06 crore.

For the nine months ended December 2005, net profit decreased to Rs 4.14 crore from Rs 4.69 crore. Sales of the company reported a growth of 31 per cent to Rs 33.85 crore from Rs 25.90 crore.
