In its first month of operations, Indore City Transport Bus has earned a net profit of Rs 19 lakh with 8.88 lakh commuters reported to have travelled during the period.

The transport company has a fleet of 37 buses which ply on 18 routes in Indore. The bus service was inaugurated on 18 April by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

The expenditure on each bus every day is around Rs 2,000 including diesel, employees
