Speaking to mediapersons here, P V Abdul Wahab, chairman and managing director, Indus Motors, said the company had achieved a sales of 5,708 vehicles in the first year of its inception in 2002-03 and it rose to 26,833 in the last fiscal 2007-08.
This achievement was an all time Maruti sales annual record achieved by a Maruti dealer in its hisotry, Wahab, who is also a Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), said.
The national market share for Maruti cars was 55 per cent, he said. Wahab said they have no immediate plans to start new outlets in other states.

The company has outlets in Kerala and Tamil Nadu at present, he said adding "we are focusing on these two states".
In all the company secured 14 awards in the dealer conference including overall excellence award at Istanbul, Turkey, held last week, he said.
Indus also achieved the highest sales in Certified Used cars in India through Maruti True Value. The performance made by Indus in Maruti Genuine Accessories, Maruti Genuine spares and customer satisfaction index, both in sales and service was remarkable, he said.
