Infosys starts Rs 21.5cr science foundation

Infosys Technologies Ltd, the country's second largest software exporter, today announced that it has set up "Infosys Science Foundation", a not-for-profit trust to promote research in sciences in India.

Under the aegis of the foundation, Infosys will honour outsatanding contributions and achievements by Indians across various sciences. The annual award for each category is Rs 50 lakh. The company' executive board members have set apart a corpus of Rs 21.5 crore towards the Infosys Science Foundation. Infosy has also made annual grant for the foundation to carry out its activities, the company informed BSE today.
