Engineering services provider Infotech Enterprises today said it has entered into an agreement with US-based Westinghouse Electric Company for providing nuclear engineering related work.
The company has finalised a master agreement with Westinghouse Electric Company for the provision of engineering services, Infotech Enterprises said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Infotech would augment the engineering resources of Westinghouse as its prepares for global nuclear energy business growth and would lay the foundation for the 'Westinghouse AP 1000' nuclear power plant work in India, the filing added.
"Our partnership with Infotech will further strengthen Westinghouse's capabilities in the region, and it serves as another sign of our commitment to the Indian markets," Westinghouse President and CEO Aris Candris said.
Westinghouse Electric Company is a group firm of Toshiba Corporation. It is a pioneering nuclear energy company, and is leading supplier of nuclear plant products and technologies throughout the world, it added.
Shares of Infotech Enterprises were trading at Rs 383.10 on the BSE, down 0.58 per cent from previous close.
